Butane gas and lighter fluid are highly flammable. Never expose lighters to heat above 120 degrees F (49 degrees C) or to prolonged sunlight. Take special caution to refill the lighter: Keep the lighter away from spark, fire and high temperature. Be sure sparking system doesn’t operate during refilling. DO NOT smoke or try to ignite the lighter at the same time while refueling. Use lighters with common sense, keep them away from children and high temperature. Butane Lighter Refilling Instructions

Please refill your butane lighter only in accordance with our instructions: 1) Fill with the lighter in the upside-down position. 2) Put  nozzle tip of the refill can directly on the inlet calve opening and press down firmly for 4 to 5 seconds. Butane spray-back may occur when the lighter is full. 3) Wait at least 2 minutes before attempting to ignite your lighter.

Please DO NOT adjust the flame height frequently unless it is absolutely necessary. At the bottom of the lighter there are generally 2 screws. One is a smaller, usually Phillips head, that is for the purpose of dismantling the lighter. Don’t touch! The other is a larger brass screw with a standard  slot  head. This is the adjustment screw. On some lighters, such as our jet torch lighters, the adjustment screw is wrapped around the fuel inlet port.  Some lighters, like our triple flame lighters, have a knob over the adjustment screw that can be turned with your fingers. Turn the screw, carefully, until flame is at the desired height and lights properly. You could turn screw driver anti-clockwise (+) to increase the flame height; clockwise (-) to decrease the flame height. The number one reason for lighter permanent damage is customers over force the flame-height adjustment screw. Use common sense and care when turning the screw. If it is hard to turn one direction, DON'T FORCE IT. Other most common problems are the following: Not holding the lighter upside down while refilling, and thus injecting air instead of butane into the lighter. Improper flame adjustment Cheap or incorrect fuel; Dirt or debris in the lighter. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us first.

In any case, PLEASE DO NOT OPEN OR ATTEMPT TO FIX THE LIGHTER BY YOURSELF!
